Treasured reveals the beauty and vulnerability of the endangered and the threatened. From disappearing plant and animal species, to vanishing languages and cultures, to threatened ecosystems, the exhibit highlights the intricacies and fragility of precious and vanishing worlds.
Great for beginners-- join us as we explore the basics of basketry and weave a reed basket that measures 10"H x 6.5"W x 6"D. Learn to start from a solid base and practice basic weaving techniques as you create a basket that has a woven Shaker tape hanger perfect for hanging from a doorknob or wall. Various color choices will make your basket unique. A fun and easy way to get started in the world of basketry!

This class is great for all levels of weavers. This oblong basket measures approximately 11"L x 3"H. Learn to weave from a pre-finished wooden base with attached handle. Explore basic over/under weaving. Use accent reed colors to make it unique. A fun easy-going afternoon that yields wonderful results!
