Teen Leadership Program
Annmarie welcomes teens to work with our team while developing leadership skills and earning service learning hours for school. Teens entering grades 10-12 can choose from several opportunities to work with the community through festivals, summer camps, or individual self-guided projects. Our summer camp C-I-T program is our signature experience for teens, but we welcome teens to volunteer in other areas, as well. Applying to our Teen Leadership Program is easy - the program uses an easy online application.
TEEN LEADERSHIP (VOLUNTEER) OPTIONS
The Summer C-I-T Program (For Summer, all applications must be received by June 1st!)
If you enjoy art and nature, and working with kids, then consider applying to become a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) to assist with our summer programs for kids and families. CIT's gain valuable work experience and service learning hours for school while assuming leadership roles, working alongside our talented faculty of artists and arts educators. Annmarie accepts CIT applications year-round and has limited spaces available. Apply early!
Annual Festivals
Annmarie hosts several well-loved festivals year-round, and teens are always welcome to lend their creativity and assistance! From costumed characters to art station leaders, to greeters and monitors, our festivals provide ample opportunities for teens to stretch their creative muscles! From the imaginative Fairy Festival, to the messy Mud Day, to interesting Insectival, to our popular Artsfest, Halloween, and Garden in Lights, there are lots of options!
Daily/On-going Projects
From greeting customers, to organizing spaces, to prepping art projects for kids, to creating festival decor, to beautification projects, to tending to the creatures in the Nature Nook, we have plenty of quieter, lightly-directed tasks for teens to explore. Just tell us your strengths and goals and we will match you to something perfect!
