Shape Something Extraordinary
Get your hands muddy and discover the endless possibilities of clay! Annmarie Garden’s Clay Studio welcomes beginners and experienced makers alike to explore wheel throwing, handbuilding, glazing, and other ceramic techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Our talented instructors guide students through the creative process while encouraging experimentation, individual expression, and connection. Whether you are centering clay for the first time, refining your skills, or simply looking for a creative way to unwind, there is a place for you here.
Join Our Creative Community
Clay Studio classes are offered throughout the year for a variety of ages and experience levels. Because the studio has limited space and classes frequently fill, advance registration is required.
Annmarie Garden members receive priority registration, giving them the first opportunity to reserve a place in upcoming classes. Members who have completed an Annmarie six-week clay series may also participate in members-only Open Clay Studio sessions.
Growing the Clay Studio
Our small but mighty Clay Studio has become a vibrant, in-demand creative hub—but our community is ready for more.
Annmarie Garden has received a $500,000 Arts Capital Grant from the Maryland State Arts Council to transform an existing maintenance barn into a larger, more accessible community Clay Studio. The new facility will triple our current capacity, accommodate more students, and create new opportunities for creativity, connection, mindfulness, and wellness.
Planning is underway, and we look forward to sharing updates as this exciting new space takes shape.
