It is the talented faculty that gives the Studio School a truly artistic learning environment. It is here that local and regional artists have come together to provide first class artistic instruction.

Brenda Belfield

B.A. Art Education at the George Washington University and the Corcoran Art School. Professional artist, exhibited in NY, Los Angeles, and DC area, Brenda teaches  intuitive acrylic painting at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria and in Reston. She was also part of the inaugural juried exhibition, re.action at Annmarie Garden.
   
Mary Blumberg

An accomplished watercolorist, Mary Blumberg is a past president of Calvert Artist Guild. Her paintings have appeared in regional, state and local shows, including Artsfest.  Currently a selection of Mary's work is available in the gift shop.
   
Ray Bogle

Ray Bogle is a potter living and working in Southern Maryland. His raku, pit and saggar pottery can be found at the CalvArt Gallery and Artsfest. Ray offers ceramics classes in basic wheel throwing to outoor firing techniques.
   
Crystal Brandt A graduate from Brooklyn College with an MFA in English and Creative Writing, Crystal teaches the Studio School's songwriting and creative writing classes.
   
Parran Collery A local ceramic artist, Parran has a studio in Port Republic. Her Eartha Tiles can be found at Main Street Gallery in Prince Frederick and at the new gift shop at Annmarie Garden.
   
Abigail Francisco & Heather Oakley

Well known in the Northern end of Calvert County, both Abigail and Heather are instructors at the Abigail Francisco School of Classical Ballet and are the instructors for the Studio School's dance classes.
   
Sarah Houde

Sarah Houde has participated in Artsfest for several. She is an experience clay artist and teaches ceramic classes at the Studio School for children & adults.
   
   
Joanne Paskoff Experienced in many aspects of childhood development, Joanne specializes in early childhood development and is a strong proponent for arts and healing. Joanne teaches the Art and Story Time, Art for Homeschoolers, and Around the World in Artsy Days classes.
   
Fritzie Seidler

Fritzie's art is less traditional and more whimsical and humorous. Her creativity and flare can be seen at Artsfest and in several of the children's art classes.
   
Robyn Strayer A local fiber and polymer artist, Robyn Strayer's unique and fun art classes are a reflection of the creativity and humor in her own work.
   
Kathy Therrien Kathy instructs the children's yoga classes. Her classes promote flexibility, self-esteem and improve concentration.

Nancy has always enjoyed sketching and journaling and enjoys even more, teaching others to use these techniques to make it their own.
   
Rosa Valladares Rosa has taught classes at St. Mary's Ryken High School and College of Southern Maryland. An accomplished printmaker, Rosa teaches the book and paper arts classes.
