Paint the Path
Saturday, July 10, 11am-4pm
The asphalt of the Wooded Path is transformed into giant coloring book full of images of plants and animals. All ages are asked to help color in the images. No reservations required. Included with price of admission.
Chalk-a-thon
August 7-15, 10am-5pm daily Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this annual summer tradition. Register at the Arts Building.
Grandparent's Day Celebration - Sunday, Sept. 12, 1-5pm.Hey kids! Grab your grandparents and bring them to Annmarie for an afternoon of extra-special fun and memory-making moments including:
FAMILY STORYTIME—1pm, Join us for a fun story time followed by a walk in in the galleries and park. Free with Admission.
FAMILY MUSIC CIRCLE—2pm, Join local musician, Mark Giuffrida, in the Council Ring to creat a family symphony with a variety of wacky instruments. Free with admission.
INTERGENERATIONAL PORTRAITS—1-5pm, Stop in for a brief photo session with a professional photographer! Capture the memories of your special day with grandma/grandpa in the beautiful setting of AMG. Added fees may apply.
WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE keepsake quiz books-- 1-5pm, Quiz your grandparents about their favorite things as a kid and compare their toys, pastimes, and memories with your own favorite things. Learn a few new things about one another and turn these memories into a keepsake book to take home. FREE with admission.
FAMILY TREE SCULPTURES—1-5pm, Work with Grandmom or Granddad to sculpt your very own family tree using paint, plaster, twigs and more! Learn about family members as you hang an ornament for each one on your tree. Free with admission.

SATURDAY, April 17 -- From 11am - 2pm, join the Calvert County Master Gardeners in a fun Paint-n-Pot activity. Paint your own unique terracotta starter pot, and learn how to plant and care for sunflowers and green beans. Get the BUZZ on why bumble bees are important to your plant's growth. Learn about smarter ways to garden at home. Embark on an Azalea Search and Find as you explore our varied collection of Glenn Dale Azaleas. All activities free with general admission.
SUNDAY, April 18th --Free Trees to the first 50 families to pay admission! Take home an Eastern White Pine seedling to plant in your yard in celebration of Arbor Day. Learn about native trees in our area, and explore the garden in search of our favorite specimens with our TREE-mendous Scavenger Hunt! And TREE-HUGGERS UNITE! From 1-3pm, kids and families can bring a white t-shirt, pillowcase, or use a large sheet of paper to paint and hug their way to a fabulous tree-bark printed painting. All activities free with admission.
